If you wear readers, do you remember how you felt when you first wore them?
Well, I was actually so excited to wear them. I even wrote a blog post about it all of those years ago! It's been almost 12 years. I really can't believe it!
Through the years, I have gone through many pairs and many styles of readers. MANY pairs I tell you. I always have a handful in rotation floating around the house. All usually ending up next to my bed. I try to save one favorite pair for special times. And, I usually have one stronger pair designated to nights out for dinner. Cause if you wear readers, I know you are with me on this! Those dark restaurants always make me think that my eyes are worse than I thought! :)
The company I always lean towards is Readers.com. I have found that for the price they can't be beat. So many styles to choose from that you can have a handful of styles to choose from to match your mood (or your outfit!). It's true what they say... happy eyes, happy wallet!
Well, guess what? Those nice peeps at Readers.com are giving away a pair to 3 of MY readers. You get to choose the style and the strength. So, if interested, (for you or a friend!), please leave a comment here before Tuesday the 12th, 5pm EST. I'll have the random number generator choose 3 names.

Love those readers! Definitely a knitting necessity 😀
ReplyDeleteThose are cute-much more stylish than the ones I've bought from the local big box store
ReplyDeleteI love readers. I wear half glass readers and slip them on right over my regular glasses. That way I can see what I'm doing when I look down and can still see the television across the room. :-)
ReplyDeleteHas it really been that long? I remember when you first wrote about readers! They sure look much better than the grocery store offerings :)
ReplyDeleteLove my readers, they are all over my house too!
ReplyDeleteI am the same way; have a dozen pairs - diff strengths - some for computer, some for reading, some for really up close! Yours are cute.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, the Britt cat eye ones are just my style! Too cute!
ReplyDeletehow nice. I'd like to try them out.

I'm a "few" years older than you and started wearing readers about 25 years ago! I need to replace one or two pair I currently own, and would love to win one of the very stylish pairs.

ReplyDeleteI started wearing readers about 5 years ago. I have always had excellent vision and have never worn glasses, but aging doesn't compromise... I have a pair at my home office, in the bedroom, in the kitchen, in my purse, my computer bag, work, etc. I'm always looking for new stylish pairs!

I wish I could get away with readers! I'm into trifocals these days. My husband wears readers though - cheap ones from Walmart and they are Everywhere! There isn't a flat surface in our house that doesn't have a pair of his, most likely broken, readers laying on it.
ReplyDeleteI just started wearing readers last year, and I'm finally getting used to the idea of needling them! The ones you are wearing are so cute! Cute readers are a must, in my opinion! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteNice! My husband has readers in every room but somehow he still can never find a pair! He gets his at the dollar store but I think his eyes would benefit from better quality specs.
ReplyDeleteI haven't checked out that company. I always have picked out a pair in the stores that I'm shopping in.
ReplyDeleteCan’t have too many readers!! Would love to win!
ReplyDeleteWhat FUN!...I love the idea of readers too...my Daddy always wore a pair of black ones and slid them down on his nose...and then looked over them to talk to you...loved that...
ReplyDelete~Have a lovely day!
Yay! I have quite a few too. Thanks for the giveaway, these look really cute!
ReplyDeleteI am THISCLOSE to needing readers. Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have many pairs of readers!!! On all levels of the house....and with projects... and in the car.... and..., can’t live without them!!
ReplyDeletePerhaps because I first got glasses at age 7, I wasn't actually excited to get readers, but they were recommended for me to try a couple of years ago, before switching to multifocal contacts, so I went to the dollar store. I need them more and more often, so maybe it's time to up my spend a little, but I don't know how I would chose which ones to get!
ReplyDeleteJust turned 58 yesterday. Yes, if I'm knitting lace, I gotta have my readers!
ReplyDeletePick me🙏🏻..I am in desperate need of a readers upgrade 😳😬.
ReplyDeleteAlways have a pair of readers with me. They’re a necessity. I would love to try readers.com readers.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way...the readers I have are never where I need them to be! I resisted them at first but now I can't be without them.
ReplyDeleteFun and practical as I cannot knit without them!
ReplyDeleteAlways looking for readers! and I have several pair! Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteYes, readers are a must for knitting.
ReplyDeleteWould love to have a new pair to put in one of my many knitting project bags.
ReplyDeleteI just had my eyes tested and sampled readers...amazing! I haven't picked any up yet, so thanks for the recommendation. I'll check them out.
ReplyDeleteI keep a pair in each knitting bag! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOne can not have too many readers!
ReplyDeleteYes, readers are like pens in my household. They migrate to all sorts of places!
ReplyDeleteI’d love to try some of these!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I have gotten to the point where I can't even pretend to try and read anything without my readers :( Never heard of this site but will definitely check it out. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteHello my friend! Beautiful you in readers!!
ReplyDeleteI love readers and these look perfect! I, too, have several pairs about the house and in project bags. What a perfect give-away; thank you!

PS I remember that post--can't believe it's been 12 years since!
You look so cute in them. I love my readers.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn’t be able to knit, if I didn’t have my readers. I put them all over the house and a couple at work. They are a necessity.
ReplyDeleteI have been kicking and screaming trying to avoid and deny this new development in my life. Having worn contact lenses for 25 + years, I hate that I have to worry about another pair of glasses... I finally did break down, for those dark/fingering yarn projects, and man what a difference! I will definitely check this site out!

Haha, yes, I also have multiple pairs scattered all over the place, including on top of my head! Thanks for the offer.
ReplyDeleteI wear my low so I can knit and then look up and watch tv. My kids think its hilarious.
ReplyDeleteWould love to add a few pairs to my little collection!
ReplyDeleteOh! I need the next level up for strength so I'm up for this! Thanks Leslie!
ReplyDeleteFun glasses are my jam and I love these styles!!!
ReplyDeleteEven though I wear tri-focals, readers are great for reading in bed at night when I need a bigger lens to look through. 😱
ReplyDeleteI'm always short a pair - someone 'borrows' them and then I'm left hunting for a pair! Thanks for the fun giveaway! xo
ReplyDeleteI love readers. I have a pair in every room. Makes life easier
ReplyDeleteI've recently become a big fan of readers and have realized that stashing them around the house is definitely a good reason to have more! :)
ReplyDeleteSo thankful for readers..I wouldn't be able to seer a thing without them
ReplyDeleteI wear readers ALL the time and I love the different styles and colors. I keep them all over the house, in my purse, and car!! What a nice giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI was also super excited to start wearing readers and love to have a selection of styles. Have never tried buying them online though - Fun!
ReplyDeleteI think it is time for a new prescription as I am having trouble reading my pattern and knitting. As long as I can continue to knit!!!
ReplyDeleteI embraced wearing readers! It’s so gratifying to be able to read better as I age. I consider myself lucky to still have the ability to make an adjustment by putting readers on when there are so many people in this world whose vision will never be able to show them the beauty this world holds!
ReplyDelete5 years ago I had the miracle gift of eye surgery. 20/20 5 years later and I have the joy of needing readers to keep those needles clicking. Would love a new funky pair.
ReplyDeleteyes, I've gone through a few pair too. love some I saw in your pile. I can use a new pair!
ReplyDeleteI too am guilty of having a few pairs lurking around my home but none as stylish as yours
ReplyDeleteLove these ! I definitely need to check them out !!
