mini mitts

It's SO cold here!
I remember when my kids were babies and I made little hand covers for them. Just a little cover for that little fist they keep so tight. No thumb required.
I recently made a few for a friend's baby and thought you might like to, too! Super quick and easy.
You can find the pattern here.

Leslie I just love these. My little munchkin is just over 11 months old and this winter I've been keeping his little bitty hands warm with something similar I made from some leftover Misti Alpaca chunky(so soft, but a bit too stretchy). Seeing his little hands bop about with little woolen covers is just so precious. A friend of mine will be having a baby this summer so I plan on knitting these little mitts for her. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAaah these look so cute! Unfortunately, I can't knit (really have to learn it one day) but they look really adorable!
ReplyDeleteI never really understood why baby mitts come with thumbs anyway...it's impossible to get those bitty little digits in them. These are super cute, I think I'll whip up a pair myself! I'm sure I've got a few odds 'n ends lying about
ReplyDeleteThese are the cutest things ever! I'll need to make a pair just because!
ReplyDeleteSchool closure today. I hope it means time to knit between making batches of hot chocolate and catching up on homework. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, these are really cute! Will be bookmarking these wee mitts :) x
ReplyDeleteThese are handy. I remember buying tons of those cotton ones at Target b/c the baby would always scratch herself.
ReplyDeleteLeslie, although I do not currently know any little babies who'd love to have warmly curled up hands, I think these mitts are adorable. A great addition to the Toasts family.
