Well, I finally finished a sweater. And boy, did it feel good. Just looking for the time to knit has been my problem lately. I still have plenty of desire, trust me. It's just all. about. time.
I love how this turned out. And to tell you the truth, i think it's the perfect little sweater. Great for spring. Or fall. Or winter if you are on the warmer side. A lot of stockinette. Seed stitch edging. A little cable detail. Sleeves that end just as soon as you cast on. Perfect!
Pattern: DevotionYarn: Mountaintop Vista by Classic Elite, 7 hanks
Needles: US 6
Size: 36 1/2
I have a few mitts on the needles. However, I'm on the hunt for a new sweater pattern. Anyone have a favorite? I'd love if you shared it with us.

ReplyDeleteI love anything Heidi Kirrmaier. Right now I've got her Tea with Jam and Bread on the needles in Portland Tweed. Perfect casual pattern in the perfect tweed. I know you're a fan of Portland Tweed.
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is gorgeous! And it works so well with the plaid shirt you're wearing it with.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand the frustration when knitting time isn't as great as the time you want to have for it - congratulations on finishing the sweater anyway!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite sweater is the Hooray Cardigan -- http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hooray-cardigan
It's more of a fall/winter cardi, but it was a LOT of fun to make and I've loved wearing it!
I knitted two cardigans this winter. I love love love my Antler and wear it often. It's great for spring and fall weather.

ReplyDeleteOld Town by Carol Sunday. Love how it is knitted, and love the turn technique to replace wrap and turn. Totally cool! I also love On the Beach~ a free pattern by Grasflecken. So fast to knit up in a cotton blend for summer. It is oversized making it great to wear over camisoles, sundresses, etc... ~Jan
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful on you. Love the cables in the front and back. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI just went out to look at Rosemary's favorites...the "water-and-stone" looks like you! Great suggestion Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteI love that shade of gray! And the length of the cabled section in the front is strange and perfect. This pattern is definitely going on my to-make list.
