Well, the drive began after the flight.
The northern California coastline. I was smitten.
Too many fun sights and photos. I just had to share.
It was pretty exciting to find a yarn store. And buy yarn!
It's time to cast on again for Toasty.

My son lives up in Eureka and gets way too many visits from his mother because of: redwood trees, Moonstone Beach, Patrick's Point, fresh air, lots of rain and fog for knitting, and more yarn stores than my side of the SF Bay.
ReplyDeletelove it!! I miss living there SO MUCH! I hope you are enjoying every moment :-)
ReplyDeleteYou know, when I was young, I didn't think there was much beauty around me in California. I thought you had to go to, say, South America or Hawaii to really see something worth seeing. And then I, a) visited Yosemite, and b) drove up the northern California coast. Silly, silly girl.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful time!
One of my favorite parts of the world. We took the famous route from Seattle to San Diego over two weeks a couple of years ago. Pacific Coast Highway the whole way. We still dream about that trip.
ReplyDeleteHope your drive was just as fantastic - love the photos!
wow, how beautiful, you are very lucky to see such sites and enjoy such times.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. We just returned home from a Point Reyes trip. Where were you?

ReplyDeleteRI hope you're planning on framing a few of these...your captures are awesome!! We love northern california as well. Enjoy being back home.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures! Looks like you had a wonderful time! I grew up in the city in Southern California and just like Hilary didn't realize all the beauty until I was in my teens and took drives up the coast to Northern California. Now I wish we could afford to live there!
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty! Where in Northern California are you? The scenery is just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI'm live in Northern California, and am wondering where you got that gorgeous yarn...
