I bought some yarn!
At the Mendocino Yarn Shop, while on our Northern California Coastline drive.  Super sweet place to visit a yarn shop.  Own a yarn shop.  Or just hang out with a cup of coffee in a yarn shop.
Plymouth yarn, Gina.  I just loved the colors.
Turns out toasty took a little more than one ball.  I have about 3/4 of a ball left to make a pair of those mitts.

I love how they are mismatchy and found it so cool how the tops turned out to be matchy!
Isn't life fun!

Have a beautiful weekend.

Love them~fantastic colors! I've been in a color mood here lately, wanting lots around me when I normally like more neutrals. Guess it's the winter kicking in and needing some cheer!~Jan

  13. Did my best to check out the yarn store when I was in Mendocino last week, but all I found was an empty store. If they'd moved, there was no 'come to....' on the door/window. What a disappointment.
He spotted the still-hanging sign before me & commented that now he understood why I wanted to stop.

  14. A few years ago I made myself some mitts, and I love them when it's not too cold outside - practical, because you can still grab tiny stuff with your fingers!
