casting on
Monday, September 05, 2011The yarn did arrive on Friday. Oh, happy day! The hold up was that the color I ordered (palta 9181) was on back order. I changed my order to indigo (9165) and I couldn't be happy. Can't remember the last time I made an indigo sweater.
I'm using size 11 needles instead of the recommended 10.5. Simply because I frantically searched for my 10.5's and they never showed their pretty points.
I'll be back tomorrow with the four winners.
Enjoy the rest of your Labor day.

I was just thinking about you and wondering if the yarn had come! Yay! Oh the joy of knits on US 11's. The Palta was pretty but that Indigo is a cool, smokey, unique blue. I think you will love it.
ReplyDeleteIt's still so humid and hot here I can't bear to pick up anything but lace weight right now, but I'm longing for something cozy.
Have fun and put your feet up!

ReplyDeleteGood thing you changed your color choice, which is what I should do...I've been waiting for my Berroco yarn for more than three long months (backordered)!!! Yep! Glad I've got other things to work on to keep me busy, but boy I'd really like to get that yarn. Had some other yarn I ordered come on Friday, though. It was a good day! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been liking navy - or similar shades. I'd have made the same choice.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your yarn arrived! And I'm knitting mine on 11s too, because I didn't want to buy 10.5s. I'm not too worried about the sizing. Have fun knitting!

ReplyDeleteI love the indigo, and it should go lickety split on #11's. I just bought the cutest navy, polka dot scarf at Aero (Shh! don't tell!)that would look so great with that.
