There was in impromptu visit from sisters and other family members.
Sweet treats were bought at the bakery. (Except for my chocolate chip cookies.)
The first day of school went off without a hitch. (Except for the fact that Andrew got lost, in his new school, at least 16 times.)

And I waited for my yarn to come. It never did.
So, I worked on this and find it extremely b o r i n g.
Fingers crossed that the UPS man delivers my yarn.

ReplyDeleteI hope your son has better luck today; mine is starting Jr High in a new building also. We walked his schedule twice last week during the open house. Hope he does OK this Thursday when he starts.
The cardigan looks a lot more fun than seed stitch!
Oh, I hope your yarn comes today! I have finished the back to my Aidez, and I have cast on for the fronts. I'm doing them at the same time. That bake shop sure has some pretty desserts!

ReplyDeleteI'm feeling your pain...I'm waiting for yarn, too. Hopefully mine will come today, too! It always makes my day when the mailman/UPS guy stops by with those wonderful packages. Have a good one!

ReplyDeleteNow THIS is exactly why you need to forgo this good girl "one project at a time" thing. I have... six?... sweaters going even as we speak, so there is no waiting. Well, except for waiting for the sweaters to actually get done....
ReplyDeleteWaiting can be difficult...especially when it's yarn. Hope you ease into the new school routine. Ours begins next Tuesday...agghh!

ReplyDeleteOh no - he got lost! My Ben starts middle school here 1 week from today which is 7th and 8th grades only - big, big school and I worry that he'll got lost too. It's hard at first but they settle in the groove ... hopefully before Thanksgiving :)

Awww - I love the impromptu visit by sisters. Everything looks delicious. I hope your son gets the hang of things quickly and isn't stressed out. BTW, I'm making one of those blankets too... and I totally agree. B-O-R-I-N-G. I also find it really hard on my hands (I guess the constant switching back and forth from knit to purl and vise-versa). I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that your yarn comes today.

ReplyDeleteI know that feeling. It makes me feel rather empathetic when kids chant "Are we there yet?" when on a long road trip.

I see it! As a matter of fact you have influenced my eyes and now I am looking for it in my daily life too. I found it one day on the floor in a bathroom stall. The floor was red except where a lovely heart had been warn away in front of each toilet.
