Have you seen the new Norah Gaughan pattern booklet from Berocco? I want to make almost everything in there. Cardigans abound. I have the Aeneas on the needles right now, and I am loving it!
Oh adorable work! Love the booties, they're supper cute! And the cardi looks amazing, I've just learned knitting and yours give me such a great inspiration! Great week! x
They ARE cute! I see you in a Vitamin D. What do you think? I keep thinking by the time I finish, those flappy front bands that are so in style now will be passe... but I'm having a hard time resisting the siren's call...
I agree with MadMad's suggestion about you in a Vitamin D. I also really love, love, love Perry in the new Brooklyn Tweed Wool People collection. There are several other cardigans in there that I have my eye on as well.
As for the booties, they are cute to the point of edible.
O.K. I agree with H. Fettig's Effortless Cardigan--I made it and love it; also agree with Norah Gaughan's pattern booklet--her sweaters are so eautiful; Wool People has loads of cute stuff (I've already bought Gudrun's pattern); my favorite sweater of all time is Aidez by Cirilla Rose. I loved knitting it, loved the yarn, and get loads of compliments on it. Although I am not finished, I am working on Common Ground by Elizabeth Smith. I'm not completely finished, but I've enjoyed it and think it will get a lot of wear. How about it? Any pique your fancy?
So cute! Love the little pink flowers... I'm also thinking about the next sweater/cardi for me. I recently discovered Heidi Kirrmaier. Thought you might want to check her out if you don't already know her.
I made Aidez this summer, which was supposed to be finished by Memorial Day. I was sure I would be able to wear it, but it was WAY too small. The Ravelry posts said the sleeves ran small, and I used this uber-soft Blue Sky Alpacas Organic Cotton so I frogged the whole thing and just finished it again this week.
Also I am wanting to copy the Siena Cardigan from Sundance.
I my goodness, those have to be the cutest booties that I have ever seen! Well done.
For you, may I suggest the Faux Circle Jacket from Cascade? It's quick, easy and very snuggly. You can find the pattern here ~ http://www.cascadeyarns.com/patterns_LanaBambu.asp
I also think there are some great sweaters in the new Brooklyn Tweed Wool People collection. I personally love the Sullivan cardigan. I am itching to cast on but need to finish other items first.
Cute booties! I could live in my Girl Friday cardi (and it's a free Knitty pattern!). The Breezy Cardigan is next in my queue for the end of the summer.
My latest obsession is with Carol Sunday's designs and yarns from Sunday Knits. I just finished Adam's Rib Cap Sleeve Vest in Nirvana 5 ply and love it, as did everybody else at Schoolhouse' Knitting camp.
Take a look at Eve's Rib or Twist Vine Cardigan. I strongly suggest knitting with her yarns though - who can resist Cashmere/Merino blends. They're heaven.
Awwwwwwwwwwwww...so darn precious! I absolutely love the booties AND the sweater. What a lucky baby! As for a cardi suggestion: I knit Jingu from Berroco and it's adorable with the beaded collar and felted ball drawstring. You can get a good look (close-up) at the beaded collar here on the video link: http://www.berroco.com/slideshows/308/index.html I think it's the perfect thing to throw on and it goes with everything! I also have yarn on backorder for Berroco's Santos cardi. I love cardigians, too!
I've just found out about your blog through my auntie at http://poppycottage18.blogspot.com/ and what a lovely blog it is! I Love the booties, I may have to try them out for my little girl.
Oh my goodness those are CUTE!! I know I just had a baby, but those make me want a little girl ASAP. (Don't tell my husband...this kind of talk totally freaks him out. :) )
I am loving all these ideas. Interested to see what you pick. I am thinking about the Abigail Cardi but like someone else I wonder if the style will be passe by the time I finish.

ReplyDeleteCheck out Cassidy by Bonne Marie Burns from Chic Knits. It knits up really nicely.
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, those are so precious! No suggestions. I mark them for later but never have time to get around to sweaters.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteI've been a big fan of these two cardigans lately:
The Effortless Cardigan by Hannah Fettig
Quintet by Melissa Wehrle
They remind me a bit of the Sloughy Cardigan!
P.S. Those lazy daisies got me too! So adorable!
Those booties are beyond adorable. Oh, no idea what to suggest for cardis - there are tons out there that I wanna knit.

ReplyDeleteOh those are soo cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's like anything little, is the most cutest thing!
These are icing on the cake. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMountain View. I'm doing mine in lace weight but she writes it for fingering and sport weight. Some details but also some mindless stockinette.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Looking into buying the book, now. :-)

ReplyDeleteHarvest Moon by Heidi Kirrmaier looks like a good one.
Adorable baby set! I am loving the Larch Cardigan (Ravelry). I can't wait to see what you decide to knit for yourself.
ReplyDeletethose are adorable! And yes, could easily bring about the wish to have another bambino!
ReplyDeleteOh these make me smile! No little ones around that will still fit into them, but I think I'll make a pair for my niece's dollbaby.
ReplyDeleteAs for a sweater recommendation, I agree with margaux: Amy Christoffer's Larch cardigan is quite fine.
I look forward to seeing whatever sweater you choose to knit. I'm sure it will be fabulous.
Cute and lovely!
ReplyDeletemy two favorite colors!! too cute for words...can't wait to see her model them.

ReplyDeleteToo cute - looking at the cardi and bootees makes me wish I had a grandchild to knit for!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cut. x
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie, The bootees are just adorable. It does get you all clucky when you see tiny little things like that. Kind regards, Anita.
ReplyDeleteJust perfectly adorable Leslie. What a wonderful gift.
ReplyDeleteReally cute. My current favourite cardigan is Moshup by Norah Gaughan, very simple, but fast to make and looks great (even if I say so myself :) )
ReplyDeleteI am loving all these ideas. Interested to see what you pick. I am thinking about the Abigail Cardi but like someone else I wonder if the style will be passe by the time I finish.
ReplyDeleteOMG - My uterus started to ache...how cute are those. we have a bunch of new babies in our family...someone should knit these for them...
