I haven't tried the magic loop yet, but I just took a class using 2 circulars and Judy's magic cast-on, and then Jeny's surprisingly stretchy bind off!
All 3 were pure magic!

yikes magic loop still to scary for me..Maybe in the new year that will my new thing to try. I have always wanted to make a bottle cover hmmm do I have time before the holidays? My oldest loves to fall asleep with the herbal heat packs I make after a hard day of sports practice but the h20 bottle might be nice for her too.

If you like the magic loop, try the traveling loop! Much less fiddly because the loop just moves with the work instead of having to pull and readjust halfway through each time. I love it!

When I lived back home in England (when I was little) we had no heating in our bedrooms! The hot water bottle was my best friend, but I never had a knitted cover for it. I bought Kristen a bottle a few years ago online and still haven't knit her a cover for it either! It's on my list.... I just never seem to get around to it, I love the simple one you chose.
