Googling is pretty awesome.
My recent google searches:

*pickled beets, *golf courses conneaut lake, *volant pa, *making a stitch in a purl stitch, *plymouth baby alpaca grande tweed, *twinkle pattern corrections, *how to make buttermilk, *vanilla cake recipe, *nectar of the gods leave in conditioner
I did make pickled beets, my Dad's favorite. I ordered some new (delicious) yarn and this pattern. I learned that I can make buttermilk if needed. I bagged baking the cake and bought one instead.
Have a wonderful weekend!

  7. so good to have google, isn't it? If you go to Volant...go to Volant Mills and walk around and then eat at Rachel's Roadhouse. They have the best food. We used to escape over their when we had some free time in college.

  10. Yum! Beets! I prefer roasted beets (golden and red) sliced real thin, with a little blue cheese, some toasted chopped almonds, some lava salt, and a little fresh basil....oh, my! Picked beets sound delicious though. I just took my dogs for a walk and while I was walking I thought about the last time I picked up some yarn and needles. Yikes. Must be the heat. My daydreaming was rudely awakened by a German Shepard that decided we might make tasty snacks...

Have a great weekend and thanks for sharing. Always an inspiration. :-)

  24. Very nice. I spent my hot days using the slow cooker and trying not to bake. Instead, the stovetop was going almost nonstop for batches of ice cream. French-style ice cream is delicious, but is more work than most of the American style recipes. Yum!
