what a relief to have the school year ending! we have 3 more weeks to go.

Do you block the pieces before sewing together or after? I am knit deep in baby blankets at the moment but a sweater is my next project.

I had to do a double-take on the cookie cutters. They look like an art piece of some sort. You certainly have a fantastic eye for color and design.

BTW, I love the tile and rubber ducky header. Quite perfect.

They're out already?! I'm half excited about that prospect, half dreading it. Things are so busy this time of year - we go from one event to the next to the next to the next and can't really enjoy any of them. But then, suddenly... nothing!

Can quinoa flour be substituted for white flour in recipes? I'd love to be able to bake again, but cannot tolerate white flour.

I have my mother's round cutter that looks like that. Hers has a small round insert for the middle so it can be used for cutting donuts and "holes."

A new cardi--congrats! Things aren't so advanced here... I just finished a ribbed scarf for Chris. I enjoyed knitting with Rowan Lima. The scarf is a pretty blue and very soft.

I love quinoa, but haven't ever seen the flour. I might have to try some quinoa cloud cookies myself. Love the name.

I just had my first experience with CEY's directions because a friend was knitting the Firefly scarf. Holy cow! The directions were really condensed and abbreviated (I guess to save space?) and my poor friend could not figure it out. Fortunately I checked for errata. CEY posted an addendum on their website to clarify the pattern. Once I read that, I was finally able to make sense. I wonder, do you find that CEY's patterns require extra attention?
