I just started following you and am a fairly new knitter (can count my projects on one hand). I just finished my first sock..it is big and slouchy. I might just get a vodka and orange juice and sit outside in the sun for a bit of ripping myself :) Excellent celebration while so much effort disappears back into a ball.

I agree that the boxy and t-shirt look was great, a bit of light felting and voila....and LOL at 'do-over'. I like to 'do-over' just not on the same project :-) Good on you for being brave and what a perfect setting for frogging!

yeah, I wish my mum would sometimes be as straight with me as that. I think the boxy look looked ok, when I'm thin it makes me feel thinner, doesn't work if I'm carrying any weight though. You can pull it off.

Good for you to be so brave! I just ripped out 8000 stitches, but that is nothing and I still felt the pain of doing so. I love what the sweater promises to look like (in that color, on that pattern) when you do finish.

I just LOVE the relationship that you have with your Mom!! My own sweet Mama passed away when I was in college and whenever I hear about someone who has a special relationship with their mom it just absolutely warms my heart. ♥

You know what they say...a bad day at the beach is better than the best day at work. We don't believe that in our house, any day at the beach is great. I have ripped the project I am working on now 4 times. The first time I ripped it I was three rows from finished. I like to think this saves me money and I ALWAYS learn something. Can't wait to see it done, everything you knit is beautiful.

I love the basic shape of the top before you ripped it out. Definitely too big for you, but a great shape for a little girls dress (appropriately downsized so it doesn't fall off the shoulders).
