I'm reminded of an old song by Jim Croce about putting time in a bottle. It would be a wonderful thing to capture the cooling breeze; a wet leaf floating to the ground, and the fleeting shift in the autumn light.

Such beautiful autumn photos. We have been covered in snow this month, but finally this week, it got warmer, the snow has mostly melted and I actually had to go outside and rake the leaves that have been covered up by the white stuff. Surprisingly, they were pretty dry :) It is the perfect temps for kiddies and costumes tonight.

fall is one of my favorite holidays too-and it does go entirely too quickly.

It is truly a shame. It turned cold so fast around here, I though we were going to miss peak color when the girls were in the hospital! It was warm when we went in and freezing when we went out... but we managed to take in some great color the next week or two, and I'm so glad we did, as it's already brown everywhere around here. Still pretty though- I love me a pile of brown fallen leaves on the ground...
And it's time for hats and scarves and mittens, oh my!
