long coat
Monday, October 05, 2009The VOGUEKnitting long coat.
I finished it right before my trip and ended up wearing it a lot. Like I said, I am not happy with how the photos turned out. After tasting wine, I simply forgot to check the settings on my camera and also forgot that little rule about how photos turn out better if not taken in direct sunlight. However, I really don't feel like retrying to take photos, so here you go.
I love so much about this sweater, the long ribbing in the sleeves, the ribbing in the back waist, the low neckline, the circle pattern on the side, and of course the yarn. I even thought that if you wanted to omit the asymmetrical aspect on the right side, it would still look great. And on size 8 needles it was a pretty fast knit.

ReplyDeleteLeslie,
ReplyDeleteThe ribbing in the back is wonderful! I made Norah Gaughan's Annikki which is similar and have been wearing a ton!
Hope your boys are feeling better fast!
Stunning!!
ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful. I wish my knitting looked that good. I wish I was a quick as you, too. But that is another story.
ReplyDeleteThis really turned out great! I was thinking, since 15 balls is a heck of a lot of yarn, this would still look great shortened about 10 in. or so. It would ruin the regal effect, but still it would be a great coat! Love the circular side and the long ribs on the sleeves!
ReplyDeleteOk, what's next since you will be sitting at home with sick ones for a while!?
Oh that is beautiful! You are so talented :-)
ReplyDeleteHope the illness passes quickly.

I supply the ideas above as normal inspiration however clearly there are questions just like the one you deliver up where an important thing can be working in trustworthy good faith. I don?t know if greatest practices have emerged around issues like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Aaanyways, what about you? what does your dad suppose xD" Anyway, in my language, there aren't much good source like this.
