Well this is interesting. I didn't know that something could be too tight and then blocking it could make it fit. How can that be? Not that I don't believe you, I am just trying to understand how it could get any bigger, is it because you get it wet and that makes the yarn stretch more? Can you tell that I have no blocking experience? Beautiful sweater btw.

I'd say yes, but everything that I've made that I thought was too small was way TOO small. I have a sweater that I still need to redo, because I decided I didn't need to check gauge at all and my row gauge was so off that it doesn't hit my belly button!

my hat goes off to you blocking!! I am kind of the anti blocker... I would love to hear any blocking tips you have.

Yep, totally. Luckily, over-blocking is reversible! For the record, I think it looks pretty nice as is!

Oooh - Everything about it is beautiful - design, color, yarn, style. Good luck with the reblocking. When I block something too big (or knit it too big) I'm always pleasantly surprised that I'm not quite as big as my distorted mind thinks I am. Teehee.

Love that book cover. My mom was a librarian when we still lived in the Czech Republic...she used to always cover my books with brown paper and carefully in perfect penmanship write the title on the cover. Books were so expensive and precious there...your book cover made me think of her doing that to my books. Hope you are having a wonderful summer.

I recently crocheted a shrug, which I thought was too small, so I added some width to the panels. I saw the pattern author in public wearing the shrug yesterday and comparing the two, mine bigger than what the pattern is mean to be!

Thanks for the smart critique. Me & my neighbour had been getting ready to do a little analysis about that. We got a superb e book on that matter from our local library and most books where not as influensive as your information. I'm very glad to see such data which I used to be searching for an extended time.This made very glad! Anyway, in my language, there will not be a lot good source like this.

Can I make a suggestion? I think youve got something good here. But what if you happen to added a couple links to a page that backs up what youre saying? Or perhaps you could possibly give us something to take a look at, something that might join what youre saying to one thing tangible? Just a suggestion. Anyway, in my language, there will not be much good supply like this.
