I'm almost always the first one up in the morning. It's a nice feeling, having that quiet time. On virtuous days, I use that time to go for a run. More often though, I read a bit, maybe make some coffee, and think about the coming day.

I think I love Chris' best. Circles!

All the squares are a special reflections of the women who created them and within them is the connecting thread of the loving, talented mama who chose the pretty fabrics. Such a special thing! I can't wait to see the final product.

And oh, how sweet early mornings are. Everyday I make a point of getting up extra early so I can drink in some silence (and hot tea) before the workday really begins. Like a mini weekend every morning.

I love those early morning moments, myself! That is often the best part of the day for me. :o)

Baseball update: Two hours in the 50 degree rain on a cold wet metal bench. Not sure what is worse - the pneumonia I'll be getting or the fact that everyone saw my hair turn into a frizzball fit to dust with!

What a treasure for Libby! I have a friend who did a similar thing for her kids before they were born. Aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, & friends all embroidered squares for a quilt. My friend put all the squares together in a fantastic quilt and, of course, it is her kids favorite lovey. There is something about a quilt that communicates love, comfort, and encouragement like nothing else.

Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

YES! Early morning in my comfy lounge chair with a fleece blanket, a hot cup of coffee, a book or knitting~PURE HEAVEN!!! I can NOT understand these people who sleep until 10 or 11 and miss the very best part of the day. There is just nothing like watching the sun come up, the dew on the grass, the birds singing and NO KID NOISE YET!!! It makes you praise the Creator for sure!
