Again it went too fast.
Again we spent time doing the things we love to do.
I read a book. (Love.)
We watched for things.
She wore a yellow polka dot bikini.....and my hat.
Someone kicked sand on plisse. And that made me very happy. Hopefully I even brought a few flecks home.
Hi. My name is Leslie and my day is not complete without a little knitting.

I've so enjoyed each and every warm moment of your spring fling at the beach, with sun, family, sea and familiarity. Welcome home! It's good to have you back to share the every day ordinary with and good to come along "365."

SUCH a good book! And I was dreaming of the beach last night, and now it's on all kinds of blogs today...I think the universe is trying to tell me something!

ReplyDeleteI just picked up the book from the library this morning...I can't wait to read it! Your trip pics made me relaxed and warmed by the sun...even sitting in front of my computer here at work on my lunch break!!
ReplyDeleteAAAAHHHH, how glorious that looks!
ReplyDelete4 of my kids are hitting the beach without me in another 2 weeks, and the rest of us at home are pouting with our lips 5 inches out. This makes them stick out even further!
Again, thanks for the knitting help you gave me awhile back. I am knitting socks now and I'm just crazy about knitting. After 10 yrs. of stamping, I told everyone I would never again become obsessed with a craft. OOOPS!!!
Reading is my other passion, so off to find that book.
Thanks for sharing your joys with us. It does make life sunnier! ~Jan

ReplyDeletelooks wonderful. sometimes I feel there's nothing in the world that our love affair with sand and salt cannot mend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a knack you have for capturing the everyday and transforming it into extraordinary... I enjoy reading along!
ReplyDeleteYay for good times and family fun! What great memories you're all creating.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that tan! Jeepers- I have such fair skinned girls it's not even funny. Fair haired too, my little blondies need to wear hats in the summer to keep from burning their scalps! My brunettes do actually tan, unlike their mother... hehe, oh well...
I'm sitting in front of an open window for the first time this spring (finally warm enough!) and I think I can almost smell the water at that beach... lovely pics, as always!
Happy knitting, sand and all-
ali

ReplyDeleteSounds completely blissful. I haven't gone on vacation in years! One of these days I'm gonna need to get away and sit on a sandy sea shore to take it all in.
ReplyDeleteYup. I want to be in that place in those pictures. Our snow is almost all melted...I am off to Vegas for 10 days at the end of the month and I can't wait to feel the warmth on my skin and breathe in that desert air and just stand in the middle of the Red Rock canyon ... it's not the beach, but it is still warm.

ReplyDeleteCan I make a suggestion? I feel youve bought something good here. But what should you added a couple links to a web page that backs up what youre saying? Or possibly you would give us one thing to take a look at, one thing that may connect what youre saying to something tangible? Only a suggestion. Anyway, in my language, there aren't a lot good source like this.
