rose hill
Friday, December 19, 2008One,
two,
three,
four. I declare a rose hill war. Well, not really. I am going to let my friends choose among themselves. The top three are made with Classic Elites Portland tweed, left over from the Christmas sweaters. The bottom one is made out of Classic Elite's Skye tweed, left over from last years sweaters. If you recall, I mentioned that Portland tweed replaced Skye tweed.
I have seven balls left from last years sweaters. I know I will not get around to using them. (I'm sticking true to Portland tweed. It is so nice.) If you would like a ball, or two, leave me a comment, and then shoot on over and e-mail me with your address. (My address is in the sidebar. This isn't a drawing. Just a giveaway to the first people who want them.) I will pop it in the mail, and you can make yourself or someone a hat. Well, you don't have to use it to make a hat.........but they are pretty darn cute.

I haven't even checked my google reader in over a week, haven't been on flickr, etc... but I was just thinking how I don't have any tweedy yarns and that's really a shame, and maybe my malabrigo fixation needs a break, etc etc etc. and then i wandered over here and there you are, giving pretty things away! Amazing! Your hats are so cute, too. I can understand why you made four of them.
ReplyDeleteI'll take one! Thank you! Your hats are darling! One of my hopes for the new year is to learn to knit something more than scarves! :)

I love this post (actually I love all your posts which is why you're on my regular read list :-) ...and I don't want any yarn...I have a skein of malabrigo worsted waiting to be knitted into a hat for my daughter for christmas - was going to make foliage (from knitty) but this might be a better option because it looks fast...and cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Love all the hats and the photo set up. Please don't send me any yarn, though - I don't need any distractions from my ruffle coat thingy that is also your fault. It is next in my cue after xmas, and I can't wait!

ReplyDeleteyou know, I already commented on this post, but I forgot to mention that I love your idea for letting your friends pick their color of hat. i was thinking of doing same thing...let my friends pick which color of hand warmers they wanted. it's just too hard to choose colors for someone else.

These hats are so cute. I love seeing the same pattern over and over again in different colors. Through the Loops does it all the time and I wish I had the patience. But I tend to not want to make anything a second time unless someone wants a copy for a gift. Otherwise I'm too lazy!
