nine
Wednesday, November 12, 2008Another day that was all about a number.
Andrew turned nine today. And my list was full. Because I waited until today to do everything for this boys big day. I try not to procrastinate, but with three in a row, I sort of loose my steam.
There were nine balloons. The cookies were baked and dropped off at school. The gifts were purchased and wrapped.
The cake was made. The handburgers were grilled. And we were reminded of how fast they grow, but how young nine still is. (He still calls them handburgers.)
As Andrew says, eight is great, but nine is fine.
I believe it is honey, I believe it is.

ReplyDeleteWelcome to the nine year old club Andrew! I'm sure you and Ryan would have a FINE time together. I caught Ryan playing with his trucks this AM before school. Somedays they seem so old and then other days they remind you of how young they really are. Happy day to you too Leslie!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Ah, yes, 9. My Ben is 9 and it is very true - this age seems so much older but in so many ways, they are still so young. Funny about the handburgers - Ben calls lots of things weird and actually until he hears the right way of the word, goes with his own. The other day he told me I was a cheapsteak. Kids are great. Enjoy!
