taking a little walk
Thursday, August 21, 2008This summer vacation will be one that is certainly remembered. And swimming in the rain. That is probably the best part. Did I mention it is still raining in these parts of Florida? Yes. Still raining.
I took a little walk this morning. Over to Grace's blog for her Summer Is series. And told of a few things that summer is to me. Besides my Saturday mornings. And walking barefoot. And now, swimming in the rain.

Can you send some rain--just a little north--to Georgia??
ReplyDeleteWe were looking forward to rain this week--but as each day passes & the path of the storm is updated--it looks less likely that we will get some much needed rain!
Enjoy!! :)
I used to love walking in the rain, but swimming in the rain? That sounds like a wonderful sensation!
ReplyDeleteOooh, swimming in the rain! I grew up in Florida, and that was so fun.

ReplyDeleteTry blowing bubbles in the rain. And just after a rain. Bubbles will sit on a wet surface and not break. They hold their own rainbows. It is quite magical.

ReplyDeleteHey, nice foot Leslie! Ugh, what can you do about those tropical storms. Swimming in the rain is pretty cool. Growing up we used to go to Hawaii every year and I have done my fair share of swimming in the rain too, such a cool feeling!
ReplyDeleteHi! I linked here through Knitphomaniac's and really enjoyed the read :) On behalf of Florida, I apologize for the crappy weather you experienced. It's prime storm time. I'd be a little miffed if I came to vacay and had to deal with a storm.
ReplyDeleteI never like Summer (if there is in Singapore), but loves your Summer.
ReplyDeleteAny day in Florida is great, even the rainy days!
ReplyDeleteMiss the days as a kid playing in the rain with all the other kids:) Great fun.
