summertime saturdays.3
Saturday, July 05, 2008There has been knitting happening over here, I promise. Making progress on my seed-stitch throw. Little by little. Stitch by stitch. Row by row. A little boring, but totally mindless. Perfect, actually.
I can't believe it is Saturday, again. A run to the bagel store (by my husband) and we were all set. So, no recipes to share. Yet an ideal summer morning.
Hope everyone is having a super weekend.

This Saturday feels like a bonus day!! With our 4th of July holiday yesterday, it seems the relaxed nature of the weekend is being extended. Your Saturday morning breakfasts are so inviting and beautiful and I wish I were there!
ReplyDeleteI swear your pictures of your breakfast table is right out of a magazine, and you knit too. What more can I say!
ReplyDeleteYou really are making progress on that throw, you are so right that it is a row-by-row affair!

ReplyDeleteThe colours in your throw are great together, I am not sure if I could do it all in seed stich though!
ReplyDeleteThe colours here are fabulous. I'd love a colourful knit throw for the couch, but if I remember your calculations correctly, this may take me years. ;)
ReplyDeleteleslie,
ReplyDeleteyour seed stitch throw is amazing. I love the color combination and the stripes.
Mmmm...those bagels looks good. I miss NJ bagels. NY ones are good, NJ must have a special ingredient. Since we've moved to the midwest (ugh- no offense if you live in the midwest), I've been unable to find good bagels.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm those bagels look quite tasty. I admire your perseverance to stick through the endless rows of seed stitch. You possess more patience than I do.
ReplyDeleteHow perfectly delightful! I just received a package of cotton yarn that is destined for life as a colorful throw.
ReplyDeleteI love your stripes!!! The colors are just perfect.

ReplyDeleteSo, if I showed up unexpectantly some Saturday morning, would there be enough breakfast?
ReplyDeleteI need to get some grocery shopping done today- I should have a list for a week's worth of meals to shop for and all I can think of is some yummy and simple breakfast-y goodness... need some more fresh berries, now that our strawberry patch is pretty much done, sigh... and some melon...
Happy knitting-
ali
Looks like a nice Saturday morning! I should try to do something like that for my family. It seems like a nice little tradition!
