I wanted something really easy.  Just a good old stockinette, where I could just keep knitting without marking off every row.  This is "flow" knit in seduce.  It is from the norah gaughan, vol. 2, booklet.  Super cute sweaters.  I also LOVE "pleat".
I can't say that I am in love with the yarn.  It isn't the easiest to knit with. Maybe it is the "cord" like feel, or just the slickness of the yarn.  But whatever the reason, I will continue to knit, because I do love the simplicity of the finished piece.
Lemon Sugar Snaps were last weeks cookie. (Recipe over on Mo's blog.  April 6 entry.  Sorry, I couldn't get it to link there directly.  She has some other really great recipe's over there as well). Three out of five in the family loved them.  The other two didn't like the texture.  I think it was probably the corn meal.  However, a very easy recipe requiring few ingredients from the pantry.

  1. Mmmm - and I've got a jumbo bag of cornmeal (don't know why?) just waiting in the pantry. Bet they would be tasty with sherbet.

Oh, I've seen this sweater done, and I've been eyeing it for weeks. And that is the exact color of Seduce I would have chosen, although I can see why it might not be fun to knit with.

    Cookies - yum!

  11. I am working on Flow too, I have had a problem with using #7 or 8 needles. I finally read about the pattern and yarn on Ravelry, and switched to #6. It is still quite an open mesh but so cute!

  19. With all the cabling going on over there lately, I can certainly understand why you're longing for some simple stockinette! I hope you continue to find it soothing, despite the less-than-perfect yarn!

  23. I was just looking at that booklet the other day, pondering a purchase. Love what you're creating. When you make the sweater again, what yarn will you use? I take it you won't be "seduced" again ;-)

  27. Does the yarn feel kind of dry in the hands? I haven't seen the yarn around, so I haven't gotten to play with it yet.
