time
Friday, February 08, 2008Where does the time go? I just can't believe another week has flown by. I am still without a car, (fly wheel, transmission) and you would think with all of this idle time I would be cranking out projects. But, no. For some reason, I am a little less productive. I just don't get it.
I did manage to finish, block and sew the buttons on my tangled yoke. Hopefully this weekend I will get some action shots.
Of course, there has been baking. A lot of it actually. These are actually chewy chunky blondies. However they are missing the butterscotch chips, the nuts, and the coconut. I didn't have those ingredients on hand and without the car.....you get it. They were delicious, however, I think they would be unbelievable with all of the ingredients.

ReplyDeleteit's funny, but when I have limited time, I manage to get everything done - with too much time, nothing gets done! maybe it's us thinking we have all the time in the world, so why rush?
ReplyDeleteI have yet to make blondie, I have all kinds of recipes for them. Maybe this afternoon...
ReplyDeleteTangled yoke looks lovely!
The tangled yoke is a darling sweater. Well worth all the slogging to get it done you did a marvelous job.
ReplyDeleteThose blondies are making my mouth water. I have yet to try a recipe for them but they always look so good.
You know I find it hard to post when I haven't got any knitting to report, makes me feel too guilty. I have been doing some home staging. It is making it feel alot cozier.
Yum... those blondies look so delicious! I'll definitely have to try those.

ReplyDeleteThe tangled yoke is gorgeous. I've been crazy a sweater like that for the longest time.
ReplyDeleteYummy brownies. The ones we made last night aren't quite to beautiful.
sorry that should have been "craving" not "crazy". My fingers obviously have a mind of their own.
ReplyDeleteThe sweater looks great, Les. Surely you can manage an action shot or two with that nifty camera and tripod of yours.
ReplyDeleteHow long has your car been sick? What a pain in the neck! Hope you get it back real soon.
Leslie, you're making me so hungry!! And I can't wait to see the action shots.
ReplyDeleteI love finding out what you are baking! I sent my mom to your site a few weeks ago and this week, a care package containing orange/ginger cookies (sound familiar?), arrived at my door. Wow--those were good. I ate 4 as soon as I opened the box. Thanks for the great recipes!

Can't wait to see action shots of the TY -- it already is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh My. Both your sweater and the blondies look scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more of your sweater and I guess I am just going to have to make those blondies to see them for myself!
Wow, double yummy!!

ReplyDeleteit looks good babe! I like it!Can't wait for action shots!
ReplyDeleteYour Tangled Yoke is simply gorgeous! Wow! I think the more idle time I have, the less productive I am too for some reason. Like I feel I have all the time in the world...:) Even when sommon sense tells me otherwise!
ReplyDeleteyour tangled yoke looks wonderful. I love it in gray. I am looking forward to your sure to be fabulous action shots!
ReplyDeletehope you have a car again soon!
That sweater is awesome and the yarn is perfection. I bet you'll be wearing it this weekend. I wish I could come over to see you and eat a brownie. Happy weekend, Leslie.
ReplyDeleteThe tangled yoke is beautiful. The buttons add to the sweater without taking away from the amazing yoke. I am a fairly novice knitter just tackling my first pair of socks. I am not holding my breath, though, as they may take quite some time to finish.
ReplyDeleteLeslie, you totally kill me--to anyone else finishing the TYC would be a 'shout it from the mountain tops' moment!!
ReplyDeleteThe stationary shot of TY is beautiful, so I am sure the action shot is going to be awe-inspiring. And brownies, or blondies rather....I love blondies (more than brownies, actually)especially when there is all sorts of good stuff mixed in...hungry now.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, blondies are a fave of mine (probably the browned sugar/butter taste...mmmm).
ReplyDeleteYour tangled yoke looks so wonderful. It makes me want to knit my own... Wish I had the yarn in my stash!!
I know what you mean about feeling like you should be cranking out the projects. For myself, I find that if I don't have a routine to follow (along with those deadlines) I don't seem to be as productive! It really is odd in a way...
Have a wonderful weekend, Leslie!
oh, i love your beautiful sweater. amazing. and those treats, too. enjoy both!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your blondies turned out well. My creations without the main ingredients usually turn out sideways.
ReplyDeleteTanya
tangled yoke looks SO pretty!
ReplyDeleteall best with the car return.
Oh, it's beautiful. I love the colour and "tangled" detailing.
ReplyDelete[Not even looking at the blondies - am on a diet!]
I love your cardigan with its sweet little buttons, Leslie! Speaking of sweet, it's 1 o'clock in the morning and I want to run out and get some blondies. Somewhere.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm, blondies!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the "in action" shots.
your tangled yoke is lovely, and those blondies make me want to jump into my computer and lap them up!
ReplyDeletethese blondies look amazing. i am usually not a blondie girl- i am not big on coconut- but yours look really good!
ReplyDeletei am also really liking the sweater, that shade of grey is stunning. love it!
you are not the only one who is low on knitting mojo this week...i feel it a little too.
wow Leslie, those blondies look good!!!!
ReplyDeleteI may have to make some this weekend, even though we are officially on the post-partum diet. Being sleep deprived makes me crave sweets!
yay for sweet treats and sweaters complete! the tangled yoke looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! And as always, catching up on your blog is a feast for the eyes! How do you do it? :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a great looking sweater and such sweet little buttons you choose. Yes, I can't wait to see you show this off!
ReplyDeleteCrossing fingers in hopes that your car is fixed fast.
Ohh, action shots please!!! Tangled Yoke looks so nice! I hope your car and productivity return to you soon!
ReplyDeleteIf the only time you had yielded this sweater and the blondies, then I would say that was very productive! I'm looking forward to your modeled shots; they're always beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTangled Yolk looks great and so do those cakes! Sometimes we are more productive when there is more to do, I don't know why!
ReplyDeleteThe brownies look yummy! I'm crossing my fingers that you get the car back soon. I know how it feels being trapped without a car! :(
ReplyDeleteOh, Tangled Yoke sure is lookin; purdy. I can't wait to see it in action.
ReplyDeleteYes, action shots please! So pretty!!
