Oh Leslie, I am sorry. I am sure you will have better luck next time! Have a great holiday weekend!
ReplyDeletePretty color yarn! Frogging is something I do way too often. I'm sure it will be perfect the second time around.
ReplyDeleteI love the color you choose. I am knitting it too. Despite the frogging....it looked great!
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling; I've ripped out the button band on my sweater three times today.
ReplyDeleteI love that buttery color. I'm sure it will be a winner once you get going.
Have a great weekend!
oh i hate it when i have to frog. hate it. i am sure it will be better on the second go! have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteohhh what happened, where didn't it fit, should I go for the bigger size?
ReplyDeleteOOooooo! I'll take one in a small. I'd love it in Citron Green/Brown. =) SO cute...makes me want to take up advanced knitting. SOmeday. In the meantime, I think I should work on my sewing skills and try my hand at that adorable twirly skirt. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend. BTW,my hubby just got my girls a tiny pink golf bag and matching shoes. SO sweet. I figured you'd like that. Also, June 8th, there is a big event at his course called the Fallen Heroes tournament. It's turning into a great event with the money being raised for children of fallen service personnel. The PGA president and CBS are gonna be there...lots of great sponsors too. Tell your hubby to watch for a segment during the PGA CHampionship in August. Just thought I'd share that too. =)
What a bummer! It'll be beautiful though. Love the color.
ReplyDeleteOh no! BUt it's better to start over now than to go further and find out that it doesn't fit. The colour is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAww nuts! On the bright side, it is a beautiful yarn. Good luck with the re-do.
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate that! Mind you it must be small as you don't look all that big. It looks like a lovely colour - does it go with your new gorgeous twirly skirt??
ReplyDeleteOh nooo! I'm so sorry, Leslie! But then again, there's no use in continuing to work on something - or keeping it - if it doesn't fit - there's certainly some better use for this beautiful yarn!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Oh no---why didn't you call me and tell me.I have been knitting away.Oh well we knit to rip.ly
ReplyDeleteRipping things down is half the fun - honest! Hope the new project works out more to your liking :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're casting on again!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least it wasn't a full length dress of some sort. Once you get past where you were when you had to rip back, the frogging will be a distant memory. You can do it! And it will be lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteConsider the ripping as an opportunity to really take time and LOVE the project! The color is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Gauge problem? I've had yarn for this pattern for a couple weeks, but I'm trying to get another project off the needles first. Now I'm wishing I saw your first because (like everyone else) I LOVE that color!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely yarn you're using! I don't think that anything fits this year!!!
ReplyDeleteLove Elzie
Awwww, sorry your measurements were off . . but at least you'll know now the second time around and it should work out perfectly. I'll be waiting to see the finished piece! :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes something like that. I knitted a lace long vest but it is not fit on me.So i have recyle yarn.
ReplyDeleteI love that yarn. Its quite soft.I used this yarn for my Lace Tee.
ooh what a bummer!! and that looks like teeny tiny guage too....sorry:( we've all been there...
ReplyDeletedon't you hate when that happens?! I've had the same problem with a pair of socks that I keep having to recast, I'm trying to get the size right..
ReplyDeleteI love that color! I'm sure it will be lovely once it fits right!
Sigh, sorry you had to frog so far into the project. Good luck with the next cast on.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your project... but love the color... I'm just learning to knit and itching to do a tank... for now I'm practicing making dishcloths...ugggh. Thanks for posting.
