all alike

My sister, Michelle, is visiting from New Jersey. I have another sister, Lisa, who lives in New York. We all (including our mother) have the same taste in just about everything. If one person buys something, we all want it. (Sabrina can attest to that). We are not weird about it, and don't dress the same when together, however our closets all look very similar. And of course we all want to knit the same things.

A few of you asked if the green sweater my mother was wearing in this photograph was knit. Yes, my mother made it first, and then we all made it. I made this last summer before my blog. Love this sweater and would recommend it and the yarn. It is the Bolero Jacket by Debbie Bliss, and we all made it out of Duchess by Classic Elite. On size 10.5 needles it is a super fast knit too!
And since we all do everything alike, I finally talked my sister into starting her own blog. If you get a minute, please pop over and say hello. I am sure she would appreciate it.
Oh, and I also wanted to tell you, Lisa made the Ranger cookies yesterday, and called to ask me if she was supposed to put flour in them. YES!!!!!! 2 cups! I am so sorry if you have made these!!!! That is why they were awful! Please try again.........I promise you will LOVE them!!!
Now I am off to enjoy my sister for the rest of today! Have a great day everyone!

  1. Oh wow. That bolero jacket is just beautiful. And how nice that you and your sisters (and your mother) share the same tastes; it must make you feel really connected to them (though I imagine it lead to jealous fights when teenagers, perhaps!) My sisters and I actually have quite different taste in clothes, but there are other things that we hold dearly in common. Unfortunately, they do not knit, however...

BTW: thanks for the advice on my decision to knit a skirt. I appreciate it.

I have 2 sisters too but they refuse to knit! They know how but hate it. My mom and grandmother are keen knitters though.
    The bolero is really lovely.

What a nice post! I've always wanted a sister and thought we'd be just like you and your sisters. Instead, I have three brothers. Not quite what I wanted when I was younger, but I do love them! :)
